From Here to There

I can see the path I long for,
As it leads to my heart-felt goal;
Upon reaching it I am aware,
Still more of me will be whole.
~
Walking the path I long for,
This journey welling up in my soul;
I believe to be for my betterment,
As more of me will be full.
~
The thing I most struggle with now,
Is how do I depart?
I see the way, I see the road,
But what's the best way to start?
~
Just now in my not-uncomplicated life,
I put up with far too much bull;
Whose end result has not been the best,
For its left me in this dark hole.
~
The path is lined before me,
It's shining, it's bright, it's clear;
But erring as I first step out,
Is the thing right now I fear.
~
The change will have some tough spots,
Steps which surely I won't care for;
Such as temporary loneliness,
And another thing or more.
~
But these spots won't be my lifetime,
There a normal part of these roads;
I think I can, I believe I can,
Endure the short-term unpleasant loads.
~
Yet I mustn't forget in the journey of life,
I do not walk all alone;
Many are those who'll help me and care,
They also want me to find, the way to my new home.
~
Is one of those a long-lost Friend?
Somebody I used to know?
From His place without time and space,
Does His love for me still glow?
~
Tom would say the answer is 'Yes.'
And to call on the Lord most high;
Pouring out all my heart to Him again,
Would it hurt if I gave it another try?
~
Could He miss the time I used to spend,
On my knees deep in prayer?
If the tender mercies of His word are true,
I'll take the risk and so believe for me He dose truly care.
~
I'll ask for His help...
~
For He can see the path I long for,
As it leads to my heart-felt goal;
Upon reaching it He is aware,
Still more of me will be whole.
